Nov. 19, 2015 ~ An Olathe East High School senior has achieved a great feat. She has received a perfect score on two national college entrance exams. Selina Liu received a perfect score of 36 on the ACT during her sophomore year of high school and just recently received a perfect score of 2400 on the SAT. Earning a perfect score on both tests is extremely rare.

"We are very proud of Selina's accomplishment of a perfect 2400 SAT score after achieving a perfect ACT her sophomore year," Olathe East Principal Bill Weber said. "She is an exceptional student at Olathe East and more importantly, a quality person. We look forward to her continued contributions during her senior year and can't wait to see her achievements in the future."

Liu is an officer in the National Honor Society and Spanish National Honor Society, is involved with Youth Court and Debate, is an officer in the school's Writing Center, and has been on the swim team and gone to state in swimming all four years of high school.

She is currently applying to colleges and is interested in getting a double major in applied mathematics and either business, economics or management. She is the daughter of Songying and Jimmy Liu.
