About the Facility Usage Department

  • School facilities are provided by district taxpayers for the primary purpose of meeting the educational needs of students. School activities have first priority for facility use. When school facilities are not in use for school programs, they may be available at reasonable times and rates to recognized community organizations whose activities are of general interest to the community. Many areas within our facilities are available for rent by district patrons.

    Masking Guidelines

    • The Olathe Public Schools requires all facility usage renters to wear masks at all times. Those actively participating in play on the court or in the swimming pool may remove their mask. All coaches and spectators must be masked at all times while inside the building, including participants on the bench and not actively participating in the game or practice.
    • Masking outdoors is optional.
    • Those found to be in violation of the Oolathe Public Schools facility usage guidelines will be warned and may lose the opportunity for future rental agreements.

    The Olathe Public Schools Facility Usage Department is located at 1500 W. Highway 56, Olathe, KS 66061-5277, in the district’s Operations Service Center.

    Summer office hours (June and July) are 6 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Office hours after Aug. 1 will be 7 a.m.-3:45 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Friday.
