Westview Boundary Discussion
-
At the Aug. 7 Board of Education Meeting, the board voted to repurpose Westview Elementary School for the 2026-27 school year. Beginning next year, Westview will serve as the site for the district’s new K-8 Alternative Education program. (Read more about the decision and the alternative program.)
As part of this process, the district will realign student attendance boundaries to serve Westview students moving forward. After reviewing nearby schools and their current capacity, the following schools were identified as a potential site for boundary adjustments during this transition:
- Rolling Ridge Elementary
- Central Elementary
- Ridgeview Elementary
At the October Board of Education Meeting, district administration presented five boundary options (A-E) and ultimately recommended Boundary Option A, which proposes merging Westview Elementary boundaries with Rolling Ridge Elementary. The Board will consider this recommendation and is scheduled to vote on this proposal at the November meeting. To view the full presentation and recommendation, you can do so on our YouTube page.
