Westview Boundary Discussion

  • At the Aug. 7 Board of Education Meeting, the board voted to repurpose Westview Elementary School for the 2026-27 school year. Beginning next year, Westview will serve as the site for the district’s new K-8 Alternative Education program. (Read more about the decision and the alternative program.)

As part of this process, the district will realign student attendance boundaries to serve Westview students moving forward. After reviewing nearby schools and their current capacity, the following schools were identified as a potential site for boundary adjustments during this transition:

    • Rolling Ridge Elementary
    • Central Elementary
    • Ridgeview Elementary

The district is hosting meetings with all staff and families in these school communities to share several proposed boundary updates, how they could impact their building, and seek input on each boundary option. While these communities will not be voting on a final boundary solution, their feedback is very important and will be shared with the Board of Education for consideration.

Following these meetings, district administration will bring a formal boundary proposal to the Board of Education in October, and we anticipate a formal vote in November. The district’s goal with this timeline is to provide ample time for all impacted communities to make plans for these boundary transitions, including opportunities for students and families to engage with their new school communities leading up to the 2026-27 school year.
