Nov. 18, 2016 ~ Olathe East High School is celebrating 50 state athletic championships with an exciting event on Nov. 29. The Olathe East Parade of Champions will be held at 9 a.m. Nov. 29 in the Olathe East gym, 14545 W. 127th Street.

In addition to celebrating the latest championships (gymnastics and boys cross country) the school will recognize the state title teams from the past 25 years.

"Winning 50 state championships in 25 years is a truly remarkable accomplishment and it is not something that we take for granted," Olathe East Athletic Director Amanda Faunce said. "Hawk Nation is humbled by the commitment, hard work, and sacrifice by the coaching staffs and student-athletes who earned these titles, and the Parade of Champions is an opportunity for Olathe East to honor these champions and to thank them for setting the example for the next 25 years."

The school encourages members of past championship teams to come to the event.
