Nov. 30, 2023 ~ Young artists in sixth through eighth grade have their talents on display in the Education Center, 14160 S. Black Bob Road, Olathe, through Jan. 11, 2024.
Their 2D and 3D pieces range from paintings of beautiful undersea creatures to whimsical monsters made of clay, drawings inspired by movie characters and sculptures made from colorful tape. A public reception will be held from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6 in the Education Center lobby.
The middle school art exhibit is open to the public during regular business hours of 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday or 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m. on Fridays. The building will be closed Dec. 20-Jan. 1 for Winter Break.
In addition to the Education Center art exhibit, the Instructional Resource Center at 14090 S. Black Bob Road hosts a range of student works throughout the year. That exhibit area features elementary artwork through Jan. 4, followed by middle school artwork beginning Jan. 17.
