Nov. 1, 2023 ~ The Olathe Public Schools Special Services Site Council will host a free seminar for parents of students with disabilities and exceptionalities. “Gifted Education, Part II” is the topic of the Tuesday, Nov. 28 Zoom meeting. Join the Zoom presentation by 6:30 p.m. (Gifted Education, Part I was held in February)

Parents are invited to learn more about the district’s QUEST program and gifted education from three dynamic teachers: Dr. Tammy Whitlow, Megan Cline and Tracy Russman. They will describe the program, evaluation criteria, characteristics of gifted learners and various activities covered in school. The teachers will highlight the collaboration between all middle schools and Olathe West High School as they prepare for the QUEST Olympics.

Anyone who needs a sign language or foreign language interpreter in order to participate is asked to contact Sally Boyd at 913-780-8170 or email her before Nov. 10. There is no need to RSVP for the Zoom seminar.
