10-5-23 — November Election Includes Board of Education Seats
Oct. 5, 2023 ~ The Nov. 7 general election in Johnson County will include four seats on the Olathe Public Schools Board of Education. Polls will be open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. that day. Advance voting, in person and by mail, is also an option. See below for details.
Seats up for election include:
- District 1 in the southern part of the district (Position 1)
- District 2 in the northeast part of the district (Position 2)
- District 1 in the southern part of the district (Position 4)
- At-large (Position 7)

Important Election-Related Dates:
- Tuesday, Oct. 17 is the last day to register to vote in the general election.
- Wednesday, Oct. 18 is the first day of advance voting by mail for the general election.
- Saturday, Oct. 28 is the first day for advance voting in person at various locations.
- Monday, Nov. 6 at noon is the end of advance voting in person.
- Tuesday, Nov. 7 from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. is the date of the general election for four seats on the Board of Education.
As a public institution, the district strongly encourages all members of the community to exercise their constitutional right to vote. The Olathe Public Schools does not endorse candidates for any office, nor do any employees of the district, while acting in the capacity of a school district employee, endorse candidates for office on behalf of the district.
