12-4-19 — Seminar Explains Supports for Students with Dyslexia
Dec. 4, 2019 ~ The Olathe Public Schools Special Services Site Council will host a free seminar for parents of students with special education needs. "Dyslexia" is the topic of the Tuesday, Dec. 10 meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the Instructional Resource Center, 14090 Black Bob Road, Olathe.
Olathe Public Schools Executive Director of Special Services Anjanette Tolman and Stacy Cates with Kansas City Speech Professionals will discuss how to recognize dyslexia. They will provide information on how the district supports screening for reading disabilities, research-based curriculum used to intervene, and what partnerships the district has to assist in dyslexia training.
There is no need to RSVP for the seminar.
