What We Do at Parents as Teachers
Home-Based or Personal Visits
Certified parent educators trained in child development help parents understand each stage of their child’s development and offer practical tips and activities to encourage learning. Enrollment is open to parents of children age birth to 36 months.
This program allows parents to get together, share common concerns and gain new insights with a certified parent educator for consultation. Enrollment is for parents of children birth to 36 months of age.
Services, which include parent/child activities, play-groups, screenings, and parenting classes, are for families enrolled in home-based and center-based Parents as Teachers. PAT, with BMO Harris Bank and United Way, has a toy and book lending library at selected PAT playgroups. Call 913-780-8106 for details.
PAT helps families link to extra services, if needed and wanted, that are beyond the scope of Parents as Teachers.
Supporting Care Providers
