10-30-17 — Board to Hear Latest Enrollment Report

Oct. 30, 2017 ~ The Olathe Board of Education will hold its regular monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, in the Education Center, 14160 S. Black Bob Road, Olathe. Board members will hear two presentations before taking action on a number of items.

An elementary teacher will present information about American Education Week, Nov. 13-17. The board will also receive detailed information about the district’s 2017-18 enrollment and demographic data.

A community partner, and a number of staff and students will be recognized during the meeting for their recent achievements.

The board will take action on various consent agenda items, including the possibility of moving the January board meeting from Jan. 4 to Jan. 11. Board members will also take action on a dozen bids, contracts and agreements, before naming Middle School 10 and establishing its attendance boundaries.

Board members will receive information on several future action items ranging from student trips to proposals for summer construction / aging facility projects.

An executive session is planned so the board members can discuss personnel matters.
