    (July 5, 1942 — )

Jim and many members of his family were educated in the Olathe School District. For 34 years, Jim was a line maintenance manager for the City of Olathe. Retiring in 1998 gave him the time to devote himself to the Fraternal Order of Eagles (F.O.E.) and represent Olathe through the Order. Since becoming a member, Jim has held almost every local office — serving as secretary for many years — and state office. On the national level, he has held every office including Grand Worthy President. He was inducted into the state organization’s hall of fame and the Grand Aerie Hall of Fame in 2011. Representing the F.O.E., Jim and his late wife Pat traveled the United States and Canada. Charities close to his heart involve the needs of children and diabetes research. Under his leadership, many new members joined the F.O.E. and new lodges were instituted across the United States and Canada. In his retirement, Jim continues his leadership with the Grand Aerie serving as chairman of the Eagle Village board in Bradenton, Fl.
