Greg Sheffer - Honored in 2012

    Greg graduated from Mid-America Nazarene College in 1993 with a degree in secondary education and social studies. He was a student teacher at Olathe North High School and a substitute teacher in the Olathe district (1994-96). He continued his studies at Nazarene Theological Seminary and earned a masters of religious education in 1996. He became junior high minister at College Church of the Nazarene (1996-99) and served as minister of dramatic arts at the church (1999-2007). His interest in history and filmmaking led him to create Inversion Productions in 2004. Greg’s honors include Telly Awards, a Davey Award, Omni Awards, and Aurora Awards. “Lone Elm” was runner-up at the 2007 Kansas City AMC Film Fest for Best Narrative Short. “The Bricklayer” won Best Documentary Short at the 2011 AMC Theaters Film Fest. “Olathe: The City Beautiful” won three 2011 Mid-America Regional Emmys.
