Award-Winning Music Education

Olathe Public Schools received the 2024 Best Communities for Music Education designation from the NAMM Foundation (National Association of Music Merchants) for having an outstanding commitment to music education. Funding, graduation requirements, music class participation, instruction time, facilities, support for the music program, and community music-making programs were reviewed by the Music Research Institute at the University of Kansas as part of the designation process. Olathe Public Schools also earned this designation in 2006, 2015 and 2023.
