Benefits open enrollment is right around the corner

This is the time outside of qualifying life events for you to elect or adjust your benefit elections for 2023. Here is what you need to know:

    1. Open enrollment will take place from Oct. 24-Nov. 4.
    2. Come-and-go meetings will be held for questions regarding your benefits and the enrollment process. If you are unable to attend, please contact the Benefits team at (913)780-8024 or email benefits@olatheschools.org. Both English and Spanish assistance options will be available.
      • Monday, Oct. 24, 1-5 p.m. — Mill Creek Campus, 300 E. Loula St., Olathe, KS 66061
      • Thursday, Oct. 27, 1-5 p.m. — Education Center, 14160 S. Black Bob Rd., Olathe, KS 66063
    3. This year, the district will hold PASSIVE enrollment. This means current elections will roll over to 2023 if you do nothing. There are two exceptions:
      • If you plan to contribute to a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA) in 2023, you will need to RE-ELECT or elect these coverages in the benefits system. These elections will not carry forward into the new plan year automatically.
    4. If you want to add, drop, or make changes to your benefit elections, you will need to log in to Employee Navigator during the open enrollment window to do so. There will be no paper enrollment forms for this year’s open enrollment; all elections must be completed in Employee Navigator. It is also recommended that you update your beneficiary information at this time.
