Delta Dental of Kansas offers two plans: Basic and Basic + Orthodontia. The only difference between the two plans is that orthodontia coverage for dependents under age 19 is included in the + orthodontia plan. Each plan offers coverage both in and out-of-network. Preventative benefits such as oral evaluations by the dentist twice a year and x-rays once a year are covered at 100%. Delta Dental offers free unlimited cleanings throughout the year. The unlimited cleanings are visits with a dental hygienist only, not the dentist.  Dependent children are eligible until the end of the calendar year in which they turn age 26. The Right Start 4 Kids Program provides children under the age of 12 with 100% coverage for all covered services under the plan excluding orthodontics. By choosing an in-network dentist, cleanings, basic and major services for children under the age of 12 are covered at 100% up to a maximum of $1,000 per child per year. The Right Start 4 Kids Program is free for both dental plans.
