Long-Term Substitute Handbook

The handbook includes written directions for many of the platforms you may be using in the classroom including Synergy, Zoom, Office 365, and ClassLink. You may wish to print a copy of the Handbook to keep with you as you are working in classrooms.

What is Class Link?
Class Link is an App that allows students to sign in one time to things like textbooks, Apps or other resources. Teachers use Class Link to sign into their online resources.

What if I need help with technology?
If you experience challenges with technology including hardware and software, please contact the Technology Help Desk at 913-780-8058.
You may be asked to submit a School Dude Request through the Technology Department. Look for the “School Dude” icon near the top and left portion of your screen.

How do I reset a password?
Walk through the resetting a password instruction guide provided by Technology.

What if I need help with curriculum or assessments?
To seek support for questions you have about technology, materials, platforms, curriculum, assessments, or other instructional needs, please call the Help Desk at 913-780-8058.
The Help Desk is available from 7:30am-7:00pm Monday through Thursday and 7:30am-5:00pm on Friday.

How do I request professional development points?

Can I work with Olathe USD 233 to renew my license?
Olathe Public Schools works with our substitutes and district residents to renew Kansas Teaching Licenses. Please email Ashley Martin in Professional Learning or call 913-780-7006.
