Each spring, students who are graduating from each of the 15 21st Century Academies are required to present their learning. To earn an endorsement, all Academies require students to do a Senior Capstone public presentation about their individual project or professional learning experience placement. Specific feedback is provided for the presentation. 

BioMedical Engineering Academy — Seniors in BioMedical Engineering will be explaining and describing their senior capstone projects (internships and independent research projects). They will be answering questions and explaining their future plans to visiting guests. 

Business Finance Academy — Business Finance Academy Seniors will present their learning journey and share their Capstone experiences with their friends, families, and supporters. Drop by the Olathe South Commons to learn from all the Olathe South Academy Seniors. 

Computer Science Academy — Computer Science Seniors report on the essence of their learning experience in the Academy by answering three questions; What did you DO, What did you LEARN, and How does it affect your FUTURE, and will give demonstrations of the applications they have developed. 

Special Note: Park on the NW corner of OS and enter through the Event Entrance. Our event is free and open to the public. Casual dress. 

Each SEMESTER, our seniors in CAPSTONE create and present a five to seven-minute TED talk on a topic of their choice.

Presentations will be in the Little Theatre, Library, and Upper commons. Attire for seniors is professional. Please park in the student lot and use the south commons entrance.

Animal Health — More information to come.

Geoscience — Come support the Geoscience First-year students as they share their career goals in Earth Sciences from 6-7 p.m. At 7:00 p.m., Geoscience seniors present their Capstone Experience. 

Medical Professions — The evening starts with a combined Academy (Animal Health, Geoscience, Medical Professions) first-year student poster session in the main gym and main commons. Afterward, our seniors will present in rooms 008 and 010. The seniors will have 5–8 minutes to present their capstones. 

Parking Logistics — Park in the staff lot (Lot A/B) on the south side of the school. Enter through the Academies Entrance (Door C.) 

The e-Communication senior showcase serves as a platform for students specializing in Animation, Graphic Design, Video, and Website Design to celebrate their achievements and growth throughout their time in the e-Communication Academy. It offers an opportunity for reflection on the skills acquired and projects completed, highlighting the culmination of their academic journey in digital communication.

The Senior Show will be held at Olathe Northwest's Commons and Raven's Nest. Please come and be ready to see all our seniors' projects and portfolios. 

Civic Leadership Academy - scheduled 15-minute presentations

Senior students reflect on their capstone experiences as well as their growth during their time in the academy. The 15 minute presentation schedules will identify the order of presentations in classrooms at Olathe East.

Design Academy - Expo Style in the Commons

Open format with every student in the Commons at East.  Parents, mentors and guests walk around, and each senior shares their senior capstone with a model, pictures and video to share their ideas (with graphics and 3-D products, fashion and architecture).

Future Educator Academy seniors have two project options: Last Lecture or Trifolds

The evening begins by walking and listening to a Career Fair style format with seniors and their Trifolds, or joining one of the rooms and watching the "3 Last Lectures."  At 7:00 p.m., a formal awards ceremony will be in the Little Theatre ending with the signing of the Hire Our Own contracts. 

Green Tech students will be available from 6-8pm to share their senior projects in an expo style gallery walk.
