Entry level, unskilled and semi-skilled key positions that are responsible for the infrastructure in Lenexa, KS. We will provide you with on-the-job training and help you earn your CDL. You will have the opportunity to learn and grow through the maintenance worker career track levels I, II, and III.

Stormwater Crew:
Responsible for maintaining storm drains, inlet structures, native vegetation, erosion control structures, water conveyance systems including underground piping, open channels (natural & improved), detention and retention ponds, and system inspection and verification of storm drainage infrastructure.

Street Crew:
Responsibilities include maintaining street surfaces, road base, curb and gutter, trails, sidewalks and snow and ice control.

Auto Technician/Equipment Mechanic:
Responsibilities include fleet maintenance and repairs on nearly 425 city vehicles (including police and fire vehicles) and more than 250 small engines (weed-eaters, mowers and chainsaws).

Auto Technician/Body Repair:
City of Lenexa operates a body and paint shop for city vehicles including towing and recovery services, welding and fabrication.

• Responds professionally to all questions and requests. Provides customers with the highest level of care and excellent service.
