Many Career Pathways for Students to Consider
-
Olathe Public Schools offers a variety of Career Pathway options designed to help students explore interests, develop technical skills, and prepare for success in both post-secondary education and future careers.
Career Pathway Programs
Available at all five Olathe high schools, these programs allow students to pursue career-focused coursework while remaining at their boundary high school. No transfer is required.
Two-Year Academies
Designed for juniors and seniors, these academies provide advanced technical training in high-demand fields. Students remain enrolled at their boundary high school for core academic courses and attend a three-hour block at either the Olathe Advanced Technical Center (OATC) or the Olathe Public Schools Innovation Campus (OPSIC) for hands-on technical instruction. These are also non-transfer programs.
Four-Year Academies
These specialized programs are available at select high schools and require an application during the fall of eighth grade. Students accepted into a Four-Year Academy will attend the high school where the academy is housed for all four years.
