    Good morning. Here are your weekly announcements.

    Tuesday, February 25th the University of Central Missouri will be visiting. University of Missouri will be visiting on March 2, Ottawa University on March 9th, MidAmerica Nazarene University and University of Kansas Honors Program on March 10th. Stop by Student Services to sign up for these visits.

    Attention on NHS members and candidates.  Your hours are due tomorrow! Please make sure you have logged all you hours by 3:00 pm Tuesday, February 25th.  If you have logged all your hours, you should have received an email from Mrs. Lunney. If you have questions regarding your hours, please stop by room 1219 before school, afterschool, or during Raven 50A.

    Come support Team 1710's fundraiser on Tuesday, February 25th from 4-8pm at  the Panera in Olathe off 119th St. To help their cause, just say you're there for team 1710.

    All girls interested in trying out for soccer need to plan on attending a meeting during Lunch A on Thursday, February 27th in the library. Contact Coach Graham with questions.

    And remember, the final deadline to purchase senior ads is March 13. Ads must be purchased online through Touchbase. And, don’t forget to also order your yearbook online through Touchbase.  The final deadline to order yearbooks is March 31.

    Track and Field
    ALL Track and Field athletes need to attend a mandatory meeting on Tuesday February 18th in the Library during Raven 50 A. Please see Coach Stephens if you can't make it.

    College visits
    Tuesday, February 18th Kansas City Kansas Community College will be visiting. Also, this week Wichita State University and University of Missouri Kansas City will be visiting. Stop by Student Services to sign up for these visits.

    National Honor Society
    NHS Member meeting before or after school in the library on Wednesday, February 19th.

    Students: Taking the ACT Feb. 25th? Need help with the English portion of the ACT? From now until ACT test time, you can come to Ms. Fox’s room in 1315 during seminar to get targeted practice and tips for the ACT. Please check in with your seminar teacher and then head to room 1315 with your pencils!

    Good morning. Here are your weekly announcements.

    Do you like to write and are looking for a creative outlet? Come to Creative Writing Club, a student-run club open to writers of all levels! We meet during Lunch B on Mondays in room 1311. Food and creativity are welcome!

    Tuesday, February 11th, Johnson County Community College & University of Missouri St. Louis will be visiting. Stop by Student Services to sign up for these visits. For a complete list of college visits please refer to ONW’s website or Notes from the Nest.

    Come to the  orchestra concert! The theme is Around the World, featuring music from cultures around the globe. It's on Tues, Feb 11 at 7PM in the ONW auditorium and is free of charge. Come support your orchestra friends and enjoy some great music!

    Who doesn’t like a good rivalry?  ONW will be visiting OW on Friday, February 14th for boys and girls basketball.  On this day of love, show your love for your school and donate to the Pennies for Patients drive.  ONW students will be collecting money to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society throughout the games.  Show your love for life, and desire to help eliminate these forms of cancer. Our goal is to collect more money than West and at the same time support a good cause!

    There is an NHS Member meeting before or after school in the library on Wednesday, February 19th.

    Attention all NHS members and candidates.  Induction is quickly approaching and that means your service hours are coming do.  Members and candidates must have their hours submitted by February 25th. All members and candidates that have already completed their service hours should have received an email verifying their completion.  If you have any questions regarding the number of hours you have left to log, please see Mrs. Lunney before or after school or during Raven 50A.

    Olathe’s Got Talent, an event which showcases Olathe students and their various talents, is now accepting applications for participants for the April 19th show. The deadline to apply in the performance category is today, Monday, February 10. Visit the Olathe Noon Optimist Club website or Olathe’s Got Talent on FaceBook to download the application for specific guidelines for each category.

    The ONW Writing Center will open Tuesday 1/28. Our tutors are available to help brainstorm, draft, and/or revise your writing during Raven 50 B Tues, Wed, and Thurs in the library. Make your appointment today at onwwritingcenter.weebly.com. 

    There will be an informational meeting for all boys interested in playing tennis this season on Friday January 31st during Lunch B in room 2115.

    No Name Calling Week begins Tuesday, 1/21! Join ONW's Gender Sexuality Alliance Wednesday, 1/22 after school in 1313 to learn more. We will have information and swag!

    Good morning. Here are your weekly announcements.

    Do you need help with writing or revising a paper for class? Make an appointment with the ONW Writing Center at http://onwwritingcenter.weebly.com/. We are open Tuesday-Thursday during lunch B.

    There will be a men's basketball try-out meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 12th at 3:15pm in the weight room.  Please see Coach Mike Grove or Coach Wrecke if you have any questions.  

    It's Transgender Awareness Week. If you are interested in learning more about the transgender experience, join the ONW Gender Sexuality Alliance in room 1313 after school on Wednesday, 11/13. 

    Reminder…If you are leaving the building anytime during the school day, you must have permission from your parent or guardian.  You must have a blue pass. You must go to the Attendance Office to sign out and sign back in if you return. 

    Seniors…if you missed last week’s class meeting regarding graduation announcements and caps and gowns, packets are available in the front office.  Orders are due this Thursday, Nov. 14 during R50. The Josten’s representatives will be set up outside the Ravens Nest.  (The front office cannot accept the orders)

    Friday is the deadline for NHS candidates to submit their packets.  Packets must be submitted to Mrs. Lunney by 3:30 on Friday in room 1219.  Any questions see Mrs. Lunney or Mrs. Pruett-Epp.

    The Toys for Tot’s drive is in full swing!  Please remember to bring in a new unwrapped toy and drop it in the donation box outside the front office!

    Good morning. Here are your weekly announcements.

    All students, male and female, interested in wrestling this season need to attend an information meeting Thursday during seminar in the weight room. We will discuss what is needed for the season and when alpha weigh-ins will be. If you have questions, please see coach Mesa.

    Anime Club will view Death Parade on Wednesday, October 30th! In this anime, the recently deceased must participate in games at an enigmatic bar that will determine the fate of their souls. Anime Club starts at 3:10 in room 1325!

    ONW's Gender Sexuality Alliance is watching a Halloween movie after school Wednesday in 1313. We will have snacks and enjoy each others' company!
