Coach Baker

 Coach Baker brings just over 10 years of coaching experience to the Olathe West Cheer program in both competitive and game day cheer. She has coached in Kansas, Texas, and Virginia where her teams have accomplished National, State, and Conference titles. She is an Olathe native who graduated as a member of Olathe Northwest’s second graduating class, earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Kansas, and Masters Degrees at Texas A&M Commerce (Physics) and Baker University (Education). 

Coach Baker’s focus is the promotion of a balance between the development of competitive abilities, the practice of leadership skills, and positive contributions to our West community.

 Coach Baker teaches Physics & Astronomy. She is ecstatic about being a member of the West community and is motivated to establish traditions for student athletes. You will find her coaching with her husband, Bryce, toddler son, Jett, and baby girl, Bailee by her side!

Emily Myers

Coach Myers is excited to join the OW cheer coaching staff after an impactful experience on the Olathe South Golden Girls dance team during her high school years. She knows how valuable a tradition of excellence, athleticism, and service can be for young women, and is excited to watch leaders grow throughout their time on the team. 

Coach Myers teaches Honors Biology, and also coaches Scholars Bowl at OW. She lives in Lenexa with her husband, Mark, and border collie, Francis.

Coach Nuffer

Coach Nuffer has over 20 years of experience in dance. Throughout her years on her high school and college dance teams she enjoyed being a part of a spirit squad and pumping up the crowd at events both home and away with sideline cheers and routines alongside the cheerleaders.  Coach Nuffer’s experience as a leader started in high school when she was the captain of her dance team. Her leadership experience continued at Emporia State University where she was the president of the schools dance squad. She also had the opportunity to choreograph and lead her sorority in many step show competitions. Her vision is for every Olathe West Cheerleader walk away with lifelong friends, unforgettable memories, and a positive experience that sets the tone for the student body. She looks forward to the years ahead at Olathe West and is excited to help the team create new traditions, reach new goals, and lead through a positive example. #WeAreWest 

Coach Nuffer teaches Anatomy & Physiology and Forensic Sciences in the Department of Public Safety at Olathe West.
