I started working at Ridgeview in the fall of 2021. I graduated with my bachelor's degree from Emporia State University in 2011. I hold an ELL endorsement. I am working on my master's degree in Instructional Specials with a concentration in Reading Specialist. I am set to graduate in December 2023.

I went into education because I wanted to help motivate students to find their love of reading and to help students who struggle with reading to learn to read. I love to watch students have those aha moments when they understand something. I am glad to be a part of the Ridgeview family.

Carolina Salguero is an experienced educator with over 18 years of service in public education. She joined Ridgeview Elementary in 2022 and currently teaches fourth grade. As a first-generation Salvadoran immigrant, Carolina is passionate about creating inclusive and empowering learning environments that honor the rich diversity of her students and their families. She holds a master’s degree in Educational Leadership and has been a vocal advocate for bilingual education and newcomer student support. Carolina believes in the power of storytelling, building community, and ensuring every student feels seen, heard, and valued. When she's not teaching, she enjoys gardening, creating handmade jewelry, and spending time with her ornery but lovable Boston Terrier, Guapo.
