Fall of 2020 is my start date with the Ridgeview family. I graduated from Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. I have a minor in Special Education and a Certificate in Leadership Studies.
I went into education for many reasons. First, I come from a long line of educators. My grandpa was a high school counselor, coach, and math teacher. I have many aunts, uncles, and cousins who are also in the education field, so to some extent it just made sense to me. Second, I love kids. I love seeing the light bulbs go off in their minds when a new skill clicks. Finally, I went into education because I have always loved learning. Just because I’m teaching now, doesn’t mean I’m done learning and I continue to love learning new ways and techniques to help the learners in my classroom each year.

I started working at Ridgeview in 2012. I went to Johnson County Community College and received my associate of Art degree. I went to Emporia State University and received my bachelor's degree.
I have always wanted to be in a profession that makes a difference. I feel by being a teacher I can help affect students and their desire to learn. These children are the future! I have taught kindergarten and first grade here at Ridgeview in the past. I am excited about starting a new adventure at our school this year.
