I started working here at Ridgeview in the fall of 2023. I attended Emporia State University for my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I also hold a Master of Arts degree in Education with a focus on Student Diversity from Baker University. I am certified to teach K-6 general education, Pre-K-12 ESOL (English to Speakers of Other Languages) and Pre-K-12 Spanish.

I decided to become a teacher because I love working with children. I want school to feel like a home away from home and a classroom like a family for my students. I also believe that educators have one of, if not the most, impactful jobs in society — raising and preparing the next generation of citizens.

In 2016, I joined the staff at Ridgeview Elementary School. I received my Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education from Pittsburg State University in 2013. In December 2018, I will graduate from Emporia State University with my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.

I went into education because I am passionate about children and their futures. I desire to be an influence on their academic lives, and to contribute to their success as a productive member of society!
