Visitor Policy/Entering the Building

All visitors must check into the office and receive a visitor sticker before going to other parts of the building. This includes walking students into the building on arrival. Parents are encouraged to walk students to class in the first week of school and then students can walk independently to their classrooms for the remainder of the year. You must ring the doorbell and show your ID to enter the building even if we know who you are. This is district policy and for the safety of the students.

Arrival/Dismissal

Student safety is the #1 priority. Respect the direction of staff members on duty. All staff support a safe and orderly dismissal and are unavailable to have unscheduled conferences during dismissal time. School begins at 8:55 a.m. Doors are unlocked at 8:00 a.m. as per district safety and security protocols. Please make sure your child knows how he or she is getting home from school each day. Call the office by 3:00 p.m. if a change is necessary.

Arrival

Drop off: Pull all the way forward to the crosswalk. Please avoid blocking the crosswalk. Cars must unload (have children ready) from the crosswalk to the curve. The safest way to unload is via the drop-off lane. If you must get out of your vehicle, please park in a designated parking stall and walk your child to the crosswalk. Children should exit the vehicle on the passenger side only.

Dismissal

All cars need to have a family car tag displayed at dismissal. Students will remain in their classroom until their number is entered and displayed on the screen.  

Walkers and bike riders will be dismissed through the back recess doors. Please make sure that older siblings coming from middle school go to the back of the school to pick up the walkers.

Please do not park in handicapped parking unless you are handicapped.

Grab and Go Breakfast

Served from 8:35-8:55 a.m. in the multi-purpose room. Students are offered milk, juice, cereal bar or muffin, a protein (string cheese or yogurt) and a fruit product (apple, applesauce, raisins). Cost is $1.45. Free and reduced prices apply. A healthy breakfast each day improves classroom performance!

First Grade

Second Grade
