Arrival / Dismissal Procedures

  • Our doors open at 8:35 a.m. Students should not arrive before this time. Students will not be allowed to come into the building before 8:35 a.m. and should not be congregating outside without adult supervision. Once the doors open, students will be allowed to stay in the foyer until they are released by staff approximately between 8:40-8:45 a.m. At that time, they will begin going directly back to their classroom areas.

    Arrival:

If your child walks to school, they will enter the most appropriate door:

    • Front walkers coming west from Lindenwood Drive enter through the main entrance, front doors.
    • Back walkers coming east from 153rd Street enter through door M near the playground.

If your child is a car rider you will drive through the circle drive off of Lindenwood and allow the student to exit your vehicle onto the sidewalk and enter the front main entrance.

    Dismissal:

If your student walks home/from the building, they will exit at the most appropriate door:

    • Front walkers heading west toward Lindenwood Drive — exit through door R near the bike racks. (front gold arrows on the map)
    • Back walkers heading east toward 153rd Street — exit through door M near the playground. (back gold arrows on the map)

If your child is a car rider, you will drive through the circle drive on Lindenwood and follow this dismissal procedure:

You will receive a car placard to be displayed on your rearview mirror or dashboard. Students will be brought out to their cars when their number is called. Be sure to stay in line. Cars trying to move into the already established line will disrupt the number order that is sent to the school and the order that the children will be released from the building. The line will wrap around 153rd Terrace. (red arrows on the map)

Only early childhood will drop off and pick up on the north side of the school. (black arrows on the map)

A crossing guard is located at the intersection of Lindenwood and 153rd Terrace during arrival and dismissal.
