After-School Credit Recovery

  • Enroll directly with your school counselor

Olathe South High School students have the opportunity to make up a minimum of one half credit each quarter. If a student fails to successfully complete credit recovery before the deadline, that credit will have to be restarted and requires the student to pay a $50 fee (per half credit).

    • OSHS after-school credit recovery (ASCR) is offered quarterly, but will be remote until further notice.
    • To successfully complete credit recovery within the ASCR program, a student must meet all of the following requirements: (1) the course must be 100 percent complete by the communicated quarter deadline (below); (2) the overall grade must be 60 percent or greater; and (3) the student must not have more than three absences within the ASCR program if offered at school.
    • If any of the three above requirements are not met, the student will be dismissed from the ASCR program. The next available opportunity for the student to recover that particular credit will require the student to restart the course and pay a $50 fee, per half credit.
    • Students are encouraged to bring their own headphones to use when working within the online program. Pencil/paper and a calculator (if necessary) are also highly encouraged if students choose to use these tools.
    • All normal school rules and expectations apply during ASCR. Students will not interact/engage with cell phones while in ASCR sessions. Result of cell phone use during an ASCR session may include, but is not limited to the following: verbal warning, parent phone call, dismissal from that day's session (absence issued), or dismissal from ASCR for the remainder of quarter.
