Canvas

We are excited to announce the soft-launch of Canvas, a new learning management system designed to support teaching and learning across the district. Our goal is to simplify access for students and families by consolidating assignments, course content, and class updates into fewer platforms, with full implementation expected by August 2026. Over the course of the spring semester, some Olathe Public Schools courses and teachers will begin utilizing Canvas.
The district has created Parent and Guardian Canvas Observer accounts using the email address you provided to your child’s school. You will only see information in your account if your student is enrolled in a course using Canvas this semester. This account allows you to stay informed about your student’s learning, without interrupting daily classroom communication.
Teachers utilizing Canvas this semester will send additional information to their families.
