Oct. 1, 2024 ~ The Olathe Board of Education will hold its regular meeting at 5:45 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, in the Education Center, 14160 S. Black Bob Road, Olathe. Anyone wishing to address the board at the regular meeting should email Clerk of the Board Barb Behm before noon on Thursday, Oct. 3. See our Rules for Public Comment webpage for details.

The regular meeting will begin with the Pledge of Allegiance led by the Briarwood Elementary School Student Council, followed by the board adopting their meeting agenda.

The board will proudly recognize the 2024 Wall of Honor Honorees, our Educators Rising National Award Winners, and celebrate Olathe East High School's designation as a Kansas High School Activities Association Performing Arts School of Excellence!

There are two planned presentations: a school spotlight on Briarwood Elementary School and certified hiring needs for 2024-2025.

The board will act on a consent agenda of routine items, student trips, bids, contracts and agreements. Board members will receive information on future action items and three written reports. An executive session is possible.
