Olathe West is having a blood drive Thursday, Nov. 14 from 7:30 am – 3:30 pm in the Auxiliary Gym and it couldn’t come at a better time. America’s blood supply has never been lower resulting in an unprecedented fall blood emergency.
Ask your student if he/she is giving blood Nov. 14. Students 16 and older who meet height, weight and health requirements are eligible to donate. Signed parental consent is required for 16-year-olds (see attached).
Parents are encouraged to donate, too, if not at the school Nov. 14 then at any CBC Neighborhood Center any day in November. Give Code EF2X when registering so your donation is credited to the Owls. Giving blood takes one hour and adults are processed first. For more information or to make an appointment contact Student Council sponsors Nicole Bishop or Amber Hutchison (913.780-7180, firstname.lastname@example.org, email@example.com).
Tips to make donating a positive experience!
