9-1-16 — Parents Learn About New IEP
Sept. 1, 2016 ~ The Olathe Public Schools Special Services Site Council will host a free seminar for parents of students with special education needs. "A Look at the New IEP: What Parents Will Want to Know" is the topic of the Sept. 15 meeting which begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Instructional Resource Center, 14090 Black Bob Road, Olathe.
Members of the district's Special Education Leadership Team will take participants on a tour of the Synergy SE program as it related to a child's Individualized Education Program (IEP).
The next parent information session will be Thursday, Oct. 13 and feature "Technology and More! Supporting Your Child at Home."
Sign language and Spanish interpreters for these seminars can be requested by calling Sally Boyd in Special Services at (913) 780-8170. There is no need to RSVP for the special services seminars.
