Feb. 2, 2024 ~ At the Jan. 31 special Board of Education meeting, the board appointed Becky Johann to the board vacancy in District 3, Position 6. Johann took her oath of office at the regularly scheduled Feb. 1 Board of Education meeting and will serve the remainder of the District 3, Position 6 term, which ends on the second Monday of January 2026.

Johann was one of six applicants to interview for the vacancy following the resignation of Olathe Public Schools Board of Education member for District 3, Position 6, Brian Connell, on Jan. 7, 2024.
