Sept. 3, 2019 ~ The annual Olathe Family Day will be held Monday, Sept. 23. This day encourages families to spend time together doing whatever it is they enjoy doing most: going on a family walk, visiting local parks or simply sitting at the table and eating a meal while sharing quality conversation.
Family Day is a national initiative created by the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse to promote simple acts of parental engagement as key ways to prevent risky substance use in children and teens.
Olathe Family Day is a joint effort between the City of Olathe, Communities that Care (CTC), Olathe Public Schools, Olathe Chamber, Olathe Public Schools Foundation, Johnson County Mental Health Center and Olathe Health.
Post a selfie of your family enjoying the day to social media and use the hashtag #OlatheFamilyDay to be entered to win a drawing for five $25 Hy-Vee gift cards. For more information, visit the City of Olathe's Family Day webpage.
