Jan. 30, 2024 ~ Six candidates have applied to fill the vacancy on the district’s Board of Education following the resignation of District 3, Position 6 member Brian Connell on Jan. 7, 2024.

The following candidates have applied for the vacancy:

• Katherine Schlem
• Jennifer Robinson
• Norman Mallicoat
• Becky Johann
• Mary Jo Fox
• Nakita Alexander

Applicants will receive a copy of the interview questions by the end of the day on Jan. 29. A special Board of Education meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 31 in the Board of Education Room of the Education Center to interview all applicants. The appointed board member will take their oath of office at the Feb. 1 Board of Education meeting and will serve the remainder of the District 3, Position 6 term, which ends on the second Monday of January 2026.
