8-19-21 — District Hosts Multi-Part Parenting Series

Aug. 19, 2021 ~ This fall, Olathe Public Schools will host a four-part series for families titled “BOLD: Parenting Adolescents.” This is a free series open to all Olathe Public Schools families and will cover a variety of topics related to parenting adolescents with a focus on the themes Breathe, Observe, Listen and Decide. All episodes teach a process and offer practical exercises for supporting identity formation, emotion regulation, motivation and helping adolescents develop a growth mindset.

  • Episode 1 - Breathe: Sept. 8, 6-7:30 p.m., Pioneer Trail Middle School and online (15100 W. 127th St. Olathe, KS 66062)
  • Episode 2 - Observe: Sept. 22, 6-7:30 p.m., Olathe East High School and online (14545 W. 127th St. Olathe, KS 66062)
  • Episode 3 - Listen: Oct. 6, 6-7:30 p.m., Olathe East High School and online (14545 W. 127th St. Olathe, KS 66062)
  • Episode 4 - Decide: Oct. 20, 6-7:30 p.m., Olathe East High School and online (14545 W. 127th St. Olathe, KS 66062)

All sessions will be offered in-person and online. Families may attend all sessions or individual sessions as their schedule allows. Online registration is required.
