3-5-21 — Board Learns about 2021-22 Learning Options

March 5, 2021 ~ At its March meeting, the Olathe Board of Education learned more about learning options for the 2021-22 school year. With news from the Kansas State Board of Education and Kansas State Department of Education that remote and hybrid learning will not be an option for next school year, the district is working to develop an option for families that need a virtual learning environment due to health or other issues.

Beginning with the 2021-22 school year, Olathe Public Schools will give families an opportunity to apply for a virtual school, with curriculum and content designed for virtual learning. Additional information will be shared about the new virtual school in the coming weeks, but it will be designed to be a virtual learning platform for students in grades K-12.
