2-20-20 — Help for Parents Learning about Childhood Trauma

Feb. 20, 2020 ~ The Olathe Public Schools Special Services Site Council will host a free seminar for parents of students with special education needs. "Understanding Trauma and ACEs" is the topic of the Tuesday, March 3 meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the Instructional Resource Center, 14090 Black Bob Road, Olathe.

Olathe Public Schools behavior coaches Cassie Barnett and Melanie French will address the impact adverse childhood experiences and trauma have on children’s development. They will also discuss how these experiences impact students in school.

Sign language and Spanish interpreters for this seminar can be requested by calling Sally Boyd in Special Services at 913-780-8170 before Feb. 26. There is no need to RSVP for the seminar.
