8-31-21 — Forbes Names District among Top 5 Employers
Aug. 31, 2021 ~ Olathe Public Schools has been named as a top five employer in the state of Kansas by Forbes, ranking at #4 on the list of the top 30 Kansas employers. In collaboration with analytics from Statista, Forbes selects America’s Best Employers by state based on an independent survey from a vast sample of more than 80,000 U.S. employees for companies employing at least 500 people in their U.S. operations.
“To be recognized by Forbes as the one of the top five employers in Kansas is a direct reflection of the incredible educators, support staff and district employees who make up Olathe Public Schools,” said Dr. Brent Yeager, superintendent of Olathe Public Schools. “The work they do day in and day out to prepare students for their futures is truly inspiring and we are so pleased to receive this honor and be named on this esteemed list.”
Employing more than 4,500 staff members, Olathe Public Schools is the largest school district in the Kansas City metropolitan area and serves more than 30,000 students from Olathe, Lenexa, Overland Park and Shawnee.
