4-17-19 — Communications Division Earns International Awards

April 17, 2019 ~ The Communications Division of the Olathe Public Schools recently received international recognition from the Hermes Creative Awards. This international competition for creative professionals involved in concept, writing and design of traditional materials, marketing and communication programs and emerging technologies is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP).

photo of Hermes gold and platinum award statuettes The Olathe Public Schools received a Platinum Award for the #MyOlatheSchools social media campaign; a Gold Award for “Welcome Home,” an internal human relations video shown to prospective employees as a recruitment tool; and a Gold Award for the Olathe Public Schools Facebook page.

The Olathe Public Schools also received honorable mentions for its Twitter page and the freshly redesigned district website.

“These awards are wonderful external validation of the hard work of every member of the Olathe Public Schools Communications Division,” Olathe Public Schools Executive Director of Communications & Community Relations Maggie Kolb said. “Our focus is and will always be keeping our stakeholders informed and engaged. Receiving international recognition for our efforts is an amazing honor.”
