June 3, 2019 ~ The Olathe Board of Education’s last regular meeting for this school year will feature many outstanding student athletes, a super speller, and others. The June 6 meeting begins at 6 p.m. in the Education Center, 14160 S. Black Bob Road, Olathe. The meeting begins with recognitions and awards.
A single presentation is on the agenda: Assistant Superintendent for Secondary Education Jim McMullen will share details of a proposed boundary adjustment for Regency Place and Tomahawk elementary schools.
The agenda includes a consent agenda of routine items; nearly two dozen bids, contracts and agreements; and three student trips. Board members will receive information on more than a dozen future action items including bids for high school band and orchestra concert uniforms, schedule for fall HVAC replacement project bids, and purchase of replacement automated external defibrillator units. They will also receive the Head Start director’s monthly written report before adjourning for two executive sessions. The executive sessions are to discuss personnel issues, and to talk about a potential land purchase.
