Feb. 28, 2023 ~ The Olathe Board of Education will hold its regular meeting at 5:45 p.m. Thursday, March 2 in the Education Center, 14160 S. Black Bob Road, Olathe. The doors will open at 5:15 p.m. Anyone wishing to address the board should email Clerk of the Board Barb Behm by noon Thursday, March 2. See our Rules for Public Comment webpage for details.

Approval of this month’s meeting agenda will be followed by five recognitions.

One informational presentation is planned. Dr. Jim McMullen, assistant superintendent for middle schools, will update the board on the ongoing transportation and school day start/end time study.

The board will vote on a consent agenda of routine items as well as a dozen bids, contracts and agreements. Board members will also vote on budget development goals and calendar for fiscal year 2023-24. They will receive information about future action items and two written reports.

Two executive sessions are planned: to discuss non-elected personnel, and for the board to consult with its attorney.
