July 8, 2024 ~ The Olathe Board of Education will hold its first meeting of the new fiscal year at 5:45 p.m. Thursday, July 11 in the Instructional Resource Center, 14090 S. Black Bob Road, Olathe. (Please note the location change.) The doors open at 5:15 p.m. Anyone wishing to address the board should email Clerk of the Board Barb Behm before noon Thursday, July 11. The evening begins with the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by the election of board president and vice president, and the appointment of board clerk, deputy clerk, treasurer and school district attorney. The board will adopt its meeting agenda before hearing the single presentation of the evening.

General administration will provide an overview of the open enrollment numbers and information.

The board will act on a consent agenda of routine items; about a dozen bids, contracts and agreements; and three other action items.

Board members will receive information on several future action items and one written report.

An executive session is planned for the board to discuss a student. Another executive session is planned for the board to consult with its attorney.
