Mental Health Services Available Through Help Clinic
The Olathe Public Schools Special Services Site Council will host a free seminar for parents of students with disabilities and exceptionalities. “Olathe Public Schools Help Clinic” is the topic of the Tuesday, Feb. 24 Zoom meeting. Join the Zoom presentation by 6:30 p.m.
Dr. Scott Fluke, Olathe Public Schools assistant director of behavior, social and emotional learning, and mental health services for the district, will give an overview of mental health services in the district. Services are offered during the school day and after school through the district’s Help Clinic, with many low-cost and no-cost options available for families.
Parents will learn when services might benefit a student, how to access services, what it’s like to receive services in Olathe Public Schools, and how to access community mental health supports when needed. The district’s goal is to remove barriers to mental health services for any student in need.
Anyone who needs a sign language or foreign language interpreter to participate must contact Sally Boyd at 913-780-8170 or email her before Feb. 10. There is no need to RSVP for the Zoom seminar.
