Board of Education Approves Merging Westview and Rolling Ridge Boundaries Beginning in 2026-27 School Year

At the November Board of Education meeting, the Board of Education approved the recommendation made to merge current Westview Elementary School boundaries with Rolling Ridge Elementary boundaries, set to take effect for the 2026-2027 school year. Watch last night's Board of Education boundary merge approval. 

This decision was reached following extensive analysis and community consultation, based on the following key findings: 

• This option was chosen because it allows all Westview students to remain together as one cohesive group 

• Rolling Ridge Elementary is the closest school geographically to Westview.  

• The plan limits disruption by keeping boundaries unchanged for current students attending neighboring elementary schools.  

• It was also determined that this proposal maintains the same middle and high school feeder pattern for Westview students, minimizing the overall impact on district busing routes. 

• Finally, Rolling Ridge offers the largest physical footprint of all schools considered. 

To support this transition, the district will provide free bus transportation for a two-year period for all students who currently reside in the Westview Elementary School boundary and will be attending Rolling Ridge Elementary School.
