Matt Trumpp

Matt Trumpp comes to Olathe West having taught social studies and AVID in the Olathe district for the past 11 years. This includes four years at Santa Fe Trail Middle School on the Building Leadership Team and as department chair, then seven years ag Olathe Northwest High School.

As captain of the Baker University men's soccer team, he helped the team to three national tournament appearances. He earned All-Conference and All-Region honors, Heart of America Conference Player of the Year, HAAC Defensive Player of the Year, Baker University Student Athlete of the Year, and All-American honors. In 2011, he was named to the Baker Soccer Hall of Fame. Coach Trumpp has spent the past 12 years coaching with current Sporting Kansas city manager Peter Vermes and Academy directory Jon Parry in various capabilities. He's coached full-time at Sporting Kansas City since 2010, winning seven state championships, one regional championship, and one national championship. Coach Trumpp has coached 10 players having currently or previously made appearances with U.S. youth national teams.

Matt is currently the Director of coaching for Toca FC. He has held this role since 2017. 

Coach Trumpp was a 2015 finalist for the Kevin Gray Kansas City Youth Soccer Coach of the Year award and holds his USSF National B License.

He grew up in Olathe and lives in the community with his wife, Jamie, and sons Braden and Gavin and daughter Josie.

Boys program has gone 39-18-1 in the first three years of existence.  6-13-1 in 2017 with a regional championship with only freshman and sophomores.  13-4 in 2018 with only one senior.  20-1 in 2019 with a regional championship and a the school's first ever state championship.  Boys have had four sunflower league players of the year, and won the sunflower league in year 3 with a 12-0 record.  Boys finished 2019 ranked #1 in all classes in Kansas, and #10 in the nation.  The boys team ended 2019 scoring 84 goals and giving up just 15.
 
Girls Program went 8-10 in year one, and 13-4 in year two.  Establishing a 21-14 record in the first two years of a brand new program.  Girls return 11 starters in 2019 and look to continue to set the standard.  Girls have had a 6A defensive player of the year, and a conference player of the year in two short years of play.  In 2018 the girls team lead the state in 6A in Goals Against Average per game.
 
Coach Trumpp won the 2019 sunflower league coach of the year, 2019 United Soccer Coaches 6A coach of the year, and 2019 Kansas Soccer Association's All class boys soccer coach of the year. Coach Trumpp also won the 2019 Star Award for Student Mentorship
 
Both programs have gone a combined 60-32-1 in the first three years as a program without the girls playing in year 3 yet.

Andy Weber

Coach Weber teaches Social Studies and serves as the Assistant Varsity soccer coach at Olathe West High School.


Weber grew up in the Olathe School District and was a Varsity Captain at Olathe South High School.  Coach Weber played collegiate soccer at Southern Nazarene University before earning his Bachelor’s in History from The University of Kansas.  He earned his secondary education license from Mid-America Nazarene University, followed by a Master's Degree in Teaching and Learning from Friend's University.  Coach Weber spent his first 9 years teaching at Gardner Edgerton High School where he was the head men’s soccer coach for 8 seasons, and women’s assistant for 3.


Weber has coached competitive club soccer in Kansas City since 2005 and currently serves as the Director of Operations for Toca FC.  Coach Weber has previously been named as the Kansas Youth Soccer Boys Competitive Coach of the year, the KSYSA Club Administrator of the year, and a Joe Amos Champion of Character.  He has a United States Soccer Federation National D coaching license. 

Having grown up in Olathe and attending USD 233 schools K-12, he is very excited to reinvest in the Olathe Community.  His wife Ashley also teaches in Olathe and they have two little boys named Keaton and Bodie.

Andrew Miller

Coach Miller has been the Head JV Coach since Olathe West's opening in 2017. He currently holds this position for both the Men's and Women's Program.

Coach Miller also coaches club in Kansas City for Toca FC and holds a USSF National E License, while currently pursing the USSF National D License. He has been coaching in some variety at the club level since 2014. 

Coach Miller says the following about coaching at Olathe West. "Since 2017, Olathe West has set the standard for area high school soccer. This starts at the C-team and works its way up to varsity. The staff for the soccer program takes the development of kids seriously and takes personal pride in setting the standard on and off the field."

Since taking over the JV program, several players have progressed to be impact players on the varsity team. Wins have increased in each year as well, from 5 in 2017, 10 in 2018, and 12 in 2019. 

Coach Miller went Baker University where he played soccer and graduated with a degree in Biology and Secondary Education. While at Baker, he started at outside back for three consecutive conference championships while leading the team in assists his senior year.

Randy Enright

Coach Enright comes to Olathe West to teach Spanish and serve as the C Team soccer coach.  Mr. Enright earned his Bachelor’s in Spanish and Secondary Education from The State University of New York at Potsdam. 

The C-team has progressed each year under Coach Enright's guidance. His philosophy of playing out of the back serves true as his team has not punted in his 3 years as coach. Coach Enright holds his players to high expectations and the results can be seen on the field. He has developed countless players that have progressed through the program and are achieving at the next level in the program.

He has coached soccer from New York to California and now here in Kansas. He served as Captain of his college soccer team during his Jr. and Sr years. He is a dedicated educator and loves helping children to find success in all walks of life.

He and his wife Emily moved here last year and are very excited about contributing to the Olathe community.
