Welcome to the 2022-23 school year! The Olathe Public Schools staff is thrilled to welcome students back in August. The first half day of school for students in grades K-6 and 9 is Aug. 11 and the first full day for all K-12 students is Aug. 12. Early childhood classes begin Aug. 15.

Between now and the first day, parents and students may have questions as they prepare for the school year. Here's a list of resources to help ease into the new school year.

• Be sure to register your children on ParentVUE starting July 6
• Pay student fees (instructions for paying fees, fines, activity charges and meals)
• Download the Olathe Public Schools mobile app in the Apple App Store or Google Play store
• Check out the elementary school supply list (Some schools have their own lists. Check your school website for more information.)
• Find lunch menus
• Seek technology help
• Learn about transportation services
• Read about athletic passes for students, parents and senior adults
• View the school year calendar
• Use the school locator feature (This is helpful for families new to the district.)
• Get information on the before- and after-school care program offered by Johnson County Parks and Recreation
