Mark Mahoney

Coach Mahoney is entering his 17th year has a head softball coach with the last 12 at Olathe Northwest. During this time, he has achieved a record of 220-45 at ONW. He has helped lead his teams to seven league championships, nine regional championships, the Elite Eight in 2001 in Georgia, and a state runner-up in 2008 and 2015. In 2009, Olathe Northwest went 25-0 and won the 6A state title, the first state title in ONW’s school history. In 2011, they won their second 6A state title, and won their third state title in 2017. Coach Mahoney has been named Coach of the Year nine times during his tenure, including Olathe Coach of the Year in 2008, and Kansas Softball Coach of the Year, and Midwest Sectional Coach of the Year in 2009 and 2017. He teaches physical education and health at Olathe Northwest High School. He resides in Olathe with his wife, Tara, and two children, Tayler and Addyson.

Anne LeVar-Hash

A graduate of Shawnee Mission West High School, Coach LeVar-Hash has played or coached softball since she was 4 years old. During her playing career, her ASA team won a KC Metro and Regional Championship. Following her high school career where she received post-season honors her senior season as a designated hitter, Coach LeVar-Hash went on to play softball at Emporia State University. At Emporia, she played first base, designated hitter and was an NFCA Academic All-American. Coach LeVar-Hash began her coaching career at Olathe South High School where her teams had a combined record of 70–4. In 2011, she joined the Olathe Northwest softball team coaching the junior varsity where she now has an overall coaching record of 149-15. This will be her second season as Coach Mahoney’s varsity assistant. The coach lives in Olathe with her husband, Grant, and their sons, Everett and Beau.
