BlackBob Clubs

  • Battle of the Books

Battle of the Books is a reading club designed to encourage students to read and recognize those who like to read.  The club is open to students in grades four and five.  Each team has an adult leader, usually a parent of one of the team members.  The club members read from a pre-selected list of twenty books.  At the end of the year, the teams engage in "battles" against other teams by answering questions about the books they have read.  Although one team eventually wins first place, we believe everyone in the program is a winner!
