Below you will find a hub of Support Programs we offer in Olathe Public Schools. For more information, click the title of each program. 

Alternative Education

Compass supports students needing intensive behavioral and social-emotional help. It provides short-term, personalized interventions and a reintegration plan with staff and families.

Cornerstone is an alternate educational program for high school students who have not obtained the same number of credits as their age-like peers due to limited or interrupted formal education.

Extended Absence Services (EAS) provides temporary educational services to students who are medically unable to attend school in their comprehensive settings for a limited period of time.

The Guided Study Lab (GSL) offers students a flexible path to graduation through Edgenuity coursework, work-study opportunities, and morning or afternoon sessions.

HOPE and Stride are alternative half-day programs that support students during suspensions or expulsions, providing structured learning and guidance to keep them on track.

S.O.A.R. (Students on an Alternative Route) helps students reach their potential through flexible, structured learning with the shared goal of earning a high school diploma.

Step Up is the Olathe Public Schools’ tuition-free diploma completion program for Kansas adults (age 18 or older) whose high school classes have previously graduated.

Postsecondary Programs

ACCESS is a four-semester post-high school program for students on IEPs that builds job, life, and independence skills through classroom, community, and continuing education experiences.

CONNECT helps students build employability, independence, and self-advocacy skills while engaging in community, workplace, and vocational experiences.
 

FOCUS helps students build independence, self-advocacy, and job skills through daily vocational experiences and meaningful community collaboration.
 

RISE is a post-graduate program for individuals with autism that builds independence, daily living, and work readiness skills through vocational and community experiences.

Therapeutic Programs

Claire Learning Center is the educational day school provided by Olathe Public Schools for children receiving treatment through KidsTLC.

Prairie Learning Center is a special day school that helps students grow academically, socially, and emotionally in a caring, supportive environment.
