
Who We Are
The Emergency Medical Services Academy prepares students with the knowledge and skills necessary for continued education and, ultimately, a successful career in emergency services. Emergency services workers help protect the public by rapidly responding to a variety of emergencies.Students will learn about EMS professions and the integrated services and systems of healthcare, public health and public safety. They will receive skills training in CPR, patient assessment, airway management, fracture management, and trauma management. Students will participate in ride-alongs through Johnson County Med-Act, our local ambulance service.
Students will remain enrolled at their high school for core academic courses and attend a three-hour block at Olathe Public Schools Innovation Campus
Students must be in good standing, demonstrate professionalism, and have good attendance. Students must have a 3.0 GPA in English and have a 2.5 cumulative unweighted GPA.
What We Do
We partner with educational and industrial institutions to provide advanced learning and employment opportunities while integrating essential workplace skills into classroom and laboratory instruction.

Student Involvement
Each student is encouraged to become a chapter member, participate in competitions, attend conferences, become officers and work towards scholarships offered by these organizations.
